Location data: your approximate location to show nearby services. We only collect this when you grant permission.Hustle Mtaani uses background location during active service requests to enable live location sharing between clients and service providers. This helps providers navigate to the client’s location and complete services such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and handyman tasks accurately and efficiently. Location access is only used during an active booking
Service information: details of services you post or book through the app.
Payment information: payment transactions are processed by Paystack. We do not store your card or M-Pesa details.
Device information: device type, operating system, and app usage data for analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To match clients with service providers in their area.
- To process payments through Paystack.
- To send booking confirmations and service notifications.
- To improve the app and user experience.
- To investigate reports and resolve disputes.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Paystack — to process payments securely.
- Back4App — our database provider where your data is stored securely.
- Other users — only the information needed to facilitate a booking (name, service details).
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
5. Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Withdraw consent for location access at any time via device settings.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure database storage. Payments are handled entirely by Paystack and are PCI-DSS compliant.
7. Children's Privacy
Hustle Plug is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
